Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We had the best experience, the kindest servers, and the most delicious food. It was an amazing date for our anniversary. The 2 gentleman whose names we forgot to get were excellent and we hope to see them again. ALL THE STARS!!!!!"
"Extremely kind and warm service, although only one old guy doing everything by himself. Really impressed by his great work, and enjoyed the foods as well Portionwise it is quite small, but the taste was great and really affordable. Will visit again for sure when we are driving over here. (We intentionally drove for 40 minutes just to give the diner a try)."
"Visited here table of 3 for breakfast and loved the nostalgia of the diner the outside images definitely matched the inside for the old diner vibe. We sat ourselves and got drinks right away. The waitress was very attentive and the food came out very fast. The place was very clean and bathrooms were very clean as well. I had a small appetite and got 2 Sunny side up eggs and toast. The cinnamon rolls there are definitely a big hit. We managed to get the last one. It is a 24/7 place which is rare now and I love that I have one place to forsure visit at any time. Over all very great place to eat and definitely will be back."
"Perfect, great food, great servers and chef, super warm and nice people. I was travelling alone and felt very comfortabele here. Also very clean and tidy. Great place!!!"
"The food here was oh so good!! I had the chopped steak with mushrooms, I like my burger medium it was cooked well, the chef was funny and awesome!! Husband had a hearty breakfast and he liked his food also!! Our grandson had 2 pancakes and scrambled egg he likes sausage link and it was a patty so I ate it!! Would definitely eat here again!!"
"We walked in to a full house Sunday morning. We were told immediately it would be a few. I noticed there were only 2 men working. One was cooking, the other waiting tables. I have never been so impressed! These two never complained, got overwhelmed or had one bit of attitude or negativity. Needless to say, food was amazing and service was just as spectacular!!"
"OK, first I’m gonna address the five stars. Yes I get that. This is no Gino’s steakhouse. (But neither is Gino’s steakhouse in Wheatfield, Indiana.) so with that said it’s a retro 50s rail car kind of diner feel. And I would put their food up against any other diner Café. It is what it is and it is just fine. So they got five stars for rounding all of the bases in their game. I have a secret affinity for inexpensive hotels that have a diner in its parking lot. (first floor smoking room please facing the diner.) I can get at least half of that desire here. OK, I watched the grill and I met Stewart. He was a one-man show when I was here late afternoon on a Friday. I had a simple burger and fries, and they were both prepared excellently A note on the burger, I could tell from the taste as well as the look of the grill that this grill has a potential to make the best club sandwich or grilled cheese sandwich you’ve ever had. It’s got that worn-in look and aroma. I’m hoping to get back real soon to find out if that’s true. Aside from the fast food and pleasant conversation it is simply a place to stop get some coffee and some food and move on down the road. It’s a fun little place. I wouldn’t call it romantic but it definitely is a neat place to go for a date."
"Our server/cook was great. She was very sweet and made sure we got what we needed. We stopped in for breakfast and the food was pretty good. The prices were a little high and the place could use a deep cleaning. Overall, it was a good experience. The diner is built inside what was a train car. They are open 24 hours so it’s good for a late night or early morning meal."
